Important information about after school transportation:
If your student lives outside the Bird attendance zone, and needs to stay after school for academic help or extracurricular activities there is now a new activity bus service that will leave Bird High School at 4:30PM and transport your student back to his or her home high school. This new service started Monday, October 25.
If you are interested in your student taking advantage of this new transportation service, it is imperative that you call the Bird Transportation Office in advance to let them know the days your student needs transportation and your student’s home high school. If there are no requests for a bus on a specific day, there will be no bus scheduled; your student should not assume a bus will be available if the transportation office has not been notified.
Once the need per week day is firmly established, advanced notice will not be necessary. However, in the start up of this new service transportation asks you to please call in advance to let them know your specific transportation need. Please call Sharon Utley at 743-3605.
