After School CalendarSoftmore: ALICE & Bio-Medical (Mandatory ¼-Credit Classes) There are two after-school classes that you must take during your freshman and softmore years. The classes meet two times per week, from 2:15-4:15 pm, for three weeks. Aerospace and ALICE meets on Mondays and Wednesday and Auto-CAD and Bio-Medical meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The classes are offered three different sessions during the year so that you may schedule them around your extracurricular (i.e. band, sports) activities. You may take these two classes during two different sessions, or you can take both classes during the same session. Although there is little to no homework in these classes, attendance is critical and absences will affect your grade. There is a late bus run that will provide transportation back to your home school district during these after-school sessions, usually dropping off at your home high school. Each of the classes will be offered three times throughout the year based on the following schedule: Here is a copy of the After-School Class Schedule. As you think about your involvement in extra-curricular activities, consider which session(s) you think you will be taking Aerospace and AutoCAD. I will give you the registration form during engineering classes the first day of school and you will need to make a firm decision and return your registration form by the second week of school. Please discuss your preferences with your parents and make a note of these dates. I hope that by giving you some advanced notice of the session dates, you can schedule doctor’s and orthodontist’s appointments around these times. I know this might seem a little overwhelming at first but these classes are actually quite fun and I know you will find them interesting.
